29/08/2016 - Capstone

Today I basically finished my storyboards ( I have maybe 2 or 3 left to finish) and I can get started on my animatic now. Starting from where my last storyboard finished off, Slade follows the reptile creature into the woods. He stops and shouts out " I know youre out there, and I know why youre following me.. Show yourself!!". The creature jumps out from a tree branch and kicks Slade to the ground. The creature then charges towards Slade in an attempt to slice him up with is tail and sharp claws, but Slade uses his telekinesis to lift up a large rock and smack the creature out of the way and into a tree. The creature then wraps his tail around the rock, and slings it towards Slade who narrowly misses it by ducking. The creature, now furious, runs and jumps towards Slade in what would be a fatal attack, but Slade is saved by the Aliens who appear in their ships and trap the creature in a stasis field. This is where I got up to and after this they lift the creature up into the sky and vanish from sight along with the creature. Slade then lights up a cigarette and blows smoke out and then that will be when the credits show.. 

25/08/2016 - Capstone

This week I finished off the rest of my model sheets and have almost completed my rough storyboards. The challenges I have faced with this were mostly trying to find the right camera angles for my shots and I still need to change the opening shot of the house to a more interesting angle because at the moment it looks quite flat. I will resolve this problem by researching online more about camera angles for shots (in this case the opening shot)

I have an idea of exactly what I want to happen in this scene and so it shouldnt take long for me to finish off the rest of the storyboards and then get the animatic completed shortly afterwards ( especially now that iv had the experience of making one) I will try and finish the animatic off this weekend and if I get it done then I would have caught up to my schedule and I can start animating sooner than i anticipated.

18/08/2016 - Capstone

I have been working on my model sheets and have almost completed them. Iv been having trouble getting started on my script and storyboards because im still deciding how I want the scene to play out.. However, I will be making a start on my script and will finish off the rest of my storyboard within the next few days.

I am slightly behind my schedule, So im going to try my hardest to get the animatic completed by the end of next week so I can get started on the animation ASAP.

8/08/2016 - Capstone

I have started work on an idea I have for an animated scene where Slade is sitting in his room late at night, reading a book about Ancient creatures said to have inhabited the Earth long before humans and who have kept their identity a secret to us by living underground. Shortly after he is distracted by a sound coming from outside down the hallway. He heads out in the rain to go and find the source of the sound, only to be attacked by one of these creatures. His Alien friends help him however, spotting him in danger, trap the creature in a stasis field for him to finish off.

I have started designing the first storyboards and character model sheets for the creature which I have yet to decide upon a name.
